What it does
Every key, your call
Click a key and pick what it does: a shortcut, a single key, media controls, a layer switch, an app to open, or a pad function like Bluetooth and lighting.
Profiles that follow your apps
Create a profile for Figma, Blender, Claude or any other app. Switch windows and the pad switches its keys and colour with you. 31 apps, from Figma and Photoshop to Xcode and Slack, come with their shortcuts by name.
A key that opens an app
Pick any app on your Mac and the key opens it, or brings it to the front, on every profile, over USB or Bluetooth. Needs Studio running and firmware 0.5.0, which Studio installs for you.
Saved on the pad
Your keys live on the pad itself and keep working with Studio closed. Keep Studio running when you want automatic app switching.
How to use it
Download and open Studio
Grab the app with the button above and open it. It is free and needs macOS 14 or later. Studio updates itself from then on.
Connect your pad
Plug in over USB-C or connect over Bluetooth. Studio finds your MinimalPad and loads the keys stored on it.
Set your keys
Click a key in the layout and choose what it should do. Keys in the Default profile work in every app.
Add app profiles
Press New profile, pick an app and a pad colour. For 31 apps Studio suggests the app's own shortcuts. Keys you leave alone keep coming from Default.
Studio carries MinimalPad firmware 0.5.0 and installs it on your pad in four steps. Your keys, layers and Bluetooth pairings stay on the pad, and you don't need to pair it again.
